Privacy Policy

Visitors may provide account details, business claim information, business profiles, activities, events, and messages sent through future or published support channels. Business-submitted listing information may be displayed publicly when it is intended for a public profile.

Parents and visitors can generally browse public listings without giving Rakooni a child's personal information.

Rakooni records limited product events to understand whether discovery is useful. These can include business, activity, and event views; registration, business website, and contact clicks; Local Spotlight impressions and clicks; structured search and category interactions; and business claim funnel events.

Rakooni's first-party analytics event records do not intentionally store IP addresses, browser fingerprints, advertising IDs, raw user-agent strings, children's names, birth dates, free-text search queries, authenticated user IDs, or persistent cross-site tracking identifiers.

Infrastructure and service providers may process network or device information as part of delivering and securing their services. The statement above describes Rakooni's own analytics event records and is not a promise that infrastructure providers never process such information.

Rakooni may create a random identifier for the current browser tab or session and store it in sessionStorage. It can associate limited product events occurring within that tab or session for measurement quality. It is not intended to identify a person, persist across sites, or create an advertising identity.

After you explicitly select a search location, Rakooni may store only its coarse canonical market ID in a first-party cookie so server-rendered local content can use that market. Rakooni does not infer this market from your IP address or store precise coordinates in the cookie.

When advertising inventory measurement is enabled, Rakooni measures whether locations where a sponsored business card could appear—including an eligible slot that is currently empty—become viewable. A potential placement is measured only after at least 50% of the individual slot remains visible for one continuous second.

We use this information to estimate available advertising inventory, understand aggregate demand in a Rakooni market, forecast campaign delivery times, prevent the overselling of advertising inventory, and operate and improve Rakooni's advertising service.

Inventory measurement may process:

• A pseudonymous technical identifier used to estimate unique sessions and prevent duplicate counting;
• The Rakooni market explicitly selected by the visitor;
• A ZIP code when the visitor explicitly enters one or it is associated with the selected location;
• The page and potential placement type;
• A selected activity category;
• A coarse age-filter band, such as 0–4, 5–7, 8–10, 11–13, or 14–18; and
• The date and time of the measurement.

Rakooni does not store an exact child age or date of birth for this measurement. Inventory measurement does not include raw IP addresses, precise GPS coordinates, names, email addresses, or cross-site advertising identifiers, and it is not used to create parent or child profiles or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Raw inventory-measurement records are retained for up to 90 days. Daily aggregated measurement records may be retained for up to 25 months for capacity planning and historical comparison. ZIP, category, and age reporting cells representing fewer than five unique sessions are suppressed.

Measuring a potential advertising slot does not mean that an advertisement was displayed and is not a billable advertising impression. A delivered advertising impression is counted separately only when an actual sponsored card satisfies Rakooni's viewability requirements.

Rakooni uses service providers to operate the product, including Supabase for application, database, and authentication infrastructure; Mapbox for maps and geocoding; and a hosting provider for application delivery. Stripe is the planned payment processor for Rakooni Pro when paid billing is enabled. Google Maps links on discovery cards are constructed locally and do not request Google Places data. When live business-profile rating badges are enabled, Rakooni uses Google Places to retrieve that business's current numeric rating, rating count, Google Maps link, and required attribution for immediate display.

Rakooni stores a reviewed Google Place ID for a matched business, but does not store or display written Google reviews. On individual business pages, Google's Places UI Kit may load the current rating and attribution directly in your browser. Google may process technical request information under the Google Privacy Policy.

These providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Rakooni does not claim that every third party follows this policy.

Rakooni helps parents and caregivers discover activities for children, but the current service is not designed to ask children to submit personal information directly. Parents or guardians should manage accounts, claims, support requests, and provider communications where appropriate.

Please do not submit a child's name, birth date, or other sensitive personal details to Rakooni unless a future feature clearly requires it and explains how that information will be used.

Raw first-party analytics events are designed for approximately 90 days of retention. Daily aggregate analytics may be kept longer to understand product trends without preserving individual event histories. Account, claim, business, activity, event, and support information is retained as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain records, resolve issues, and meet applicable obligations.

Rakooni uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the current service. No internet service can promise perfect security.

Local Spotlights may be organic or paid. Paid placements are clearly labeled “Sponsored” so payment is not presented as organic popularity. Rakooni does not build advertising profiles from children's personal data or introduce cross-site behavioral tracking as part of this V1 approach.

You may choose not to create an account or submit a business claim. Browser controls can clear session storage. For privacy, safety, correction, or deletion questions, use the Support page. Public support contact details are not yet published.
